About Me

Jeni Harvey Designs started after getting each of my daughters a really full, long tutu.  I had to purchase it online because I did not know of any local vendors who made them.  I fell in love with the whimsical look of the extra full tutu.  I thought it would be fun to make one using orange tulle left over from my wedding and after having so much fun doing so, I decided to start my business.

Since then, my business has grown.  I am now not just creating tutus but also making Bunco Score Cards and custom invitations in Photoshop, taking photos for people and making mason jar cups.  With our large summer garden every year and huge fruit orchard I have been canning and preserving food a lot as well as making fresh goat's milk cheese.  We live on what I call the Harvey Homestead and are trying to become more self sufficient.  We have about 40 chickens, 4 dairy goats and a miniature horse for the girls to ride.  Life in the country is a lot of work but also a lot of fun!!  If you are local and want to try some of my food products, let me know!  Who knows what I will add to my eclectic mix of goods and services!

Making tutus really is two-fold for me.  I find enjoyment in the actual design and construction process as well as seeing my children or customers wearing them.  Such delight is found when someone puts on a tutu.  I also love photography and taking pictures of people in their tutus.  So, if you purchase a tutu and are willing, I would LOVE to photograph you in it.  Just let me know.  :o)

For my real job, I teach Transitional Kindergarten part time at Northside School in Cool.  I have an amazing teaching partner and as a result, I am able to stay at home more with my two daughters: Scarlet- 3 and Madrone- 5.  (Who by the way have a jewelry company named after them.  Scarlet & Madrone- website  Etsy shop  Facebook page

If you have any questions, feedback or just want to contact me, I would LOVE to hear from you.  I hope I get to create the perfect pretty tutu for you in the future!

My crafting partner, Sierra Borden, owner of Legal Needle, is an AMAZING knitter/crocheter.  Check out her website or Etsy shop.
